Open Letter to The SRC President – Imoro Lagfu

Dear Mr. President,

I personally thank you for accepting to lead the student front, counting on you and your team to uphold the highest standard in ensuring accountability and transparency. I understand how tedious the responsibility been bestowed on you by the general student body is. You really toiled for it, considering the campaign you embarked on, but that should not be a guarantee for you to do some ‘anyhow’ job.

Mr. President, I would kindly crave your indulgence to pay attention to my concern. If you so happen to be busy on your assignment, please advice your handler to secure your copy.

Mr. President, as a student activist, I am deeply concern about some intimidating incitement that, the general student body is going through this days and it has to do with the absence of lighting system in the lecture halls. Aside that, about ninety percent of the fans in the lecture halls are not also working.

Mr. President, as you’re aware that some students have their lectures around 6pm to 8pm in the night. Due to this problems they would have to reschedule the lectures which would always cause inconvenience between students and lecturers. Mr. President, I therefore admonished you to visit the lecture halls at exactly 6pm to see for yourself.

Mr. President, you promise to serve the interest of the general student populace, but not to serve the interest of school management. Sir, you promise to focus your administration on the general student body interest, but not to focus it on school management.
Mr. President, are you really serving on our interest? Is it really true that, you’re serving the interest of management? Is it really true that, you were not fit to be our SRC president? Is it really true that you’re only saying yes sir, yes sir when you meet top school management?

Mr. President, I don’t know because I was not elected to serve on the interest of the student body. But sir, you promise to be responsible, transparent and accountable to us. I therefore challenge you to go and liaise with the school management to find a lasting solution to these problems in a shortest time.
This letter is not to intimidate you but to keep you on your toe’s and to make you aware that you were elected to serve our interest.
Sincerely yours!

Cc: General Assembly welfare Committee Chairman
